Robert “Bo” Parfet has also been nominated as a fellow of the British-American Project (BAP), through which he was selected to participate in an annual international conference to discuss sustainability and global resource limitations.

A transatlantic fellowship, BAP was founded in 1985 to build on the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom that emerged during World War II. Currently, there are over 1,200 BAP fellows, and BAP holds an annual four-day conference that provides them with an opportunity to discuss topics of current concern to both nations.

At the BAP annual conference, 20 to 24 new participants are also selected based on their professional achievements and impact in their communities. Each participant is sponsored to attend their first conference, becoming a BAP Fellow at the conference’s conclusion.

In addition to the yearly conference, BAP fellows can also participate in several events throughout the year, such as private dinners with guest speakers, lectures and debates, and casual networking activities. These BAP events provide further opportunities for fellows to connect and exchange ideas.
